A journey routed in care
Marie Linda Rabel’s path in healthcare began in 1998 as a Registered Nurse after graduating from John Abbott College in Montreal, Canada. Over the years, her dedication to patient care evolved into a deep commitment to understanding the full picture of health—not just treating symptoms, but exploring the connections between physical and mental wellbeing.
After earning her Master's degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Florida Atlantic University in 2008, she spent years caring for patients across the lifespan. It was during this time that she recognized a critical gap: many individuals struggling with mental health conditions weren't receiving care that considered their complete health. This realization sparked a passion for psychiatric care and led her to pursue a Post-Master's degree in Psychiatric Mental Health at Florida State University, which she completed in 2020. In 2016, she earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Florida Atlantic University, further deepening her expertise.
A holistic philosophy
This belief in whole-person care is what inspired Marie Linda Rabel to establish MLR Holistic Health. The practice name reflects her core commitment: treating mental health and physical health as deeply interconnected, not separate concerns. She doesn't believe in addressing symptoms in isolation—because they rarely exist that way.
Whether it's exploring how nutritional deficiencies, sleep patterns, or physical symptoms contribute to anxiety and depression, or considering how mental health impacts physical wellbeing, she takes the time to understand the whole person.
